Job Summary
Line Cook at Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club in Mt. Arlington, NJ responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, setting up and stocking stations, and ensuring timely, efficient kitchen operations. Responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, preparing food for service (vegetables, butchered meats, and sauces), cooking menu items with other kitchen staff, following executive/sous chef instructions, cleaning stations, stocking inventory, ensuring food is produced with high quality and on time, and complying with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Must be at least 18, with prior professional cooking experience, and capable of standing for long shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, performing basic computer functions, and communicating in English.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualification: Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous professional cooking experience, preferably line cook
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the role
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 LBS (dishes, glassware, trays of food, etc)
- Ability to perform basic computer functions
- Must be able to handle hot, cold and moderate noise interior and outdoor conditions
- Continuous repetitive motions
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
