Job Summary
Line Cook needed at Daily Provisions in Jersey City. Responsibilities include all aspects of kitchen operations: preparation, cooking, and portioning of food; proper use and upkeep of kitchen equipment (fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers, rotisserie); ensuring prep is prepped, seasoned, and cooked to established standards; following SOPs and build sheets; proper mise en place storage with labeling and dating; maintaining sharp knives and tools; keeping the station and work areas clean per health standards; supporting the team during call-outs and catering; and applying Department of Health standards to keep kitchen spaces tidy and teams accountable. Requirements include 2+ years of line cook experience in a similar environment and a NYC Food Handlers License. English fluency is required with additional languages preferred.
