Job Summary
Line Cook I is responsible for preparing all menu items to specified standards while addressing customer needs, setting up and breaking down the line, maintaining daily prep levels, and assisting with food functions and events. Must adhere to safety and cleanliness standards (OSHA/government guidelines), complete daily checklists, stock stations, operate cooking equipment, stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lb, and obtain/maintain a Food Handlers certification. Strong communication with supervisors and a professional, friendly attitude toward customers and co-workers are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Food Handlers certification (upon hire)
- Must be able to operate cooking equipment (steamer, slicer, buffalo chopper, broiler, salamander, etc.)
- Ability to perform short order cooking of burgers, steaks, sandwiches, fries, etc.
- Knowledge of sautéing, broiling, steaming, and baking is preferred
