Job Summary
Prepares food as directed by the Chef or General Manager, cooks to order in a timely manner, and portions/garnishes according to recipe cards to ensure menu plate consistency. Maintains cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas, completes opening/closing checklists, and protects the Club assets. Adheres to standardized recipes, checks received goods, stores products properly, and follows sanitation procedures to support cost controls and quality. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (culinary school diploma is a plus) and a Food Handlers or Managers Certificate. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with good communication and physical stamina. This is a part-time role with weekend availability, reporting to the Executive Chef at Tennessee National Golf Club in Loudon, TN.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as cook
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
- Food Handlers or Managers Certificate
