Job Summary
Line Cook in an upscale/fine-dining setting at Scarlet Knife. Responsible for preparing meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot foods; plating and garnishing; portioning and presenting dishes; ensuring proper food temperatures and sanitary practices; maintaining stock and quality standards; and supporting kitchen operations to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Candidates should have strong culinary skills, creativity, familiarity with standard recipes and plating, ServeSafe/food handler certification, and the ability to work under pressure with effective time management and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
