Job Summary
Prepare and stock assigned work stations, cook guest orders to recipe specification and preference, and ensure food exits simultaneously within ticket time standards. Maintain prep counters, grills, fryers, and ovens while testing and monitoring equipment temperatures. Stock inventory appropriately, date, rotate, and store all food items. Must hold a valid Food Handler's Card, be at least 18 years old, and speak, read, and understand the primary language of the work location. Previous breakfast line cooking experience is a plus. This role supports Elmer's Colonial Pancake House, a family-owned operator serving home-style cooking across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Arizona since 1960.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Food Handler's Card
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand the primary language of the work location
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Able to meet the shift's needs of fluctuating business demands
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
