Job Summary
Complete and pass required training modules, set up your station, and carry out food preparation assignments following standard recipes, portion control, and sanitation procedures. Produce food items while handling, storing, and rotating products to maintain sufficient levels throughout the shift. Re-stock stations, prepare dishes for guests with allergies, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Perform side and closing duties, assist with kitchen storage and cleaning, and communicate with the Executive Chef regarding nightly specials and guest flow. Cross-train in other stations, assist with training if experienced, and report incidents as assigned. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- One or more year's experience as a line cook
- Experience operating grills, broilers, fryers, sauté burners, convection ovens, flat-top ranges, and a variety of other kitchen equipment
- Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation and production, cooking techniques, sanitation and safe food handling
- Commitment to quality, service, and expanding knowledge and skills
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Must be self motivated and able to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Able to multi-task and manage quickly changing priorities
- Strong team-work orientation, well organized, able to take direction from others
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand for 5 or more hours at a time
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity required to use knives and kitchen equipment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic math and computer skills preferred
