Job Summary
Line Cook at a Dexterra Group workforce accommodations facility, responsible for preparing and serving high-volume meals in a fast-paced kitchen. Duties include following approved recipes and production methods, supporting meal service for large guest counts (initially ~500/day, scaling to 4,000+), assisting across kitchen stations (hot line, cold prep, bakery, service line), ensuring compliance with FOODSAFE/HACCP, maintaining cleanliness and organization, portion-control for food-cost management, assisting with receiving/storage/rotation, and adapting to dietary restrictions with strong teamwork and adherence to safety policies. Requires experience in high-volume kitchens, valid Food Safety certification, HACCP understanding, ability to follow standardized recipes, and willingness to work rotating/extensive hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Line Cook or Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Experience in high-volume food service environments such as camps, hotels, resorts, institutional dining, or large restaurants
- Valid Food Safety certification
- Understanding of HACCP principles
- Ability to follow standardized recipes, production schedules, and portion controls
- Experience supporting service for large numbers of guests in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work rotating shifts and extended hours as required by operations
- Experience working in a team-based kitchen operation
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, lifting kitchen supplies, and working in a demanding kitchen environment
