Job Summary
Line Cook at Crescent Hotels & Resorts serving the Tides Coastal Kitchen in the Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront. Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per server checks; start prepped items, avoid over-preparation, and rotate perishables. Check pars for shift use, plan preparation, manage freezer pulls, and set up the line; assist in keeping buffet stocked and return unused items to storage with proper dating. Help implement plans to correct food cost problems and control waste per Crescent standards. Operate and clean kitchen equipment (deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, ovens, steam tables, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat-top grill). Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly. Participate in Crescent’s hospitality culture and benefit programs while performing other duties as assigned.
