Job Summary
Commis Chef position at Taboo Muskoka/The Boathouse Restaurant in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Reports to the Junior Sous Chef, Sous Chef, and Executive Chef and supports daily kitchen operations through food preparation (mincing, garnishes, stocks, sauces, vinaigrettes) and both hot and cold cooking tasks; ensures health and safety regulations (HACCP) are followed and maintains clean and organized work areas; may cover or assist superiors and participate in required training; adherence to hotel and company policies; seasonally available from end of April 2026 to end of October 2026 with both full-time and part-time options. Qualifying candidates should have High school English, 1-2 years in a professional kitchen, Ontario Food Handlers Certification (required), and may be enrolled in a culinary program (preferred). Pay range is $18.00-$19.00 per hour; compensation is hourly with staff housing available; company emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and opportunities for growth.
