Job Summary
Line Cook at Torchy’s Taco (Line Cook | Cocinero de la Linea) responsible for Fry, Grill, Sauté, Steam stations and assembling tacos. Cook on fry, grill, sauté, steam stations; ensure quality, safety, and presentation of dishes; maintain clean, organized station; collaborate with BOH team; assist with inventory; operate with urgency during peak periods; meet state/local Food Handler certification requirements; standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs; pay $10.00–$12.00/hour base plus pooled tips; flexible schedules; benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) after eligibility; DailyPay option; bilingual availability in English/Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification
- Certification(s) must be obtained by your first day or within the timeline required by your location
- Previous experience preferred
- Open to varied work schedules and hours based on your restaurant’s needs
- Must be able to stand for several hours
- Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
