Job Summary

Line Cook at OKANA Resort & Indoor Water Park. You will develop your knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures (grill, sauté and fry), assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room and fine dining, maintain a passive leadership role to ensure adequate production levels, learn to minimize food waste through cross-utilization, and work with a world-class culinary team. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat), ensuring all food is stored properly, keeping a sanitized and orderly kitchen, maintaining quality of ingredients, and following directions to recreate recipes while supporting seasonal menus and concept execution. Requirements include 1-3 years of professional kitchen experience, Active Food Handler certification or ability to obtain, willingness to work day/night/weekend shifts, strong organizational skills, ability to stand for long periods, ability to lift at least 50 pounds, and being at least 21 years old.
