Job Summary
Line Cook at Bluejack Ranch responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards; set up and stock stations; maintain cleanliness and organization; follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling guidelines; ensure quality and consistency of dishes; assist with daily prep, including chopping, portioning, and labeling ingredients; communicate with kitchen staff and servers for smooth service; operate kitchen equipment safely; assist with receiving and storing deliveries using FIFO; participate in cleaning and closing duties; support banquet or special event execution; maintain professional demeanor and uphold culinary standards; contribute to the team and culinary operation; be willing to assist in other roles as needed by leadership; education includes High School diploma, GED, or relevant work experience; schedule includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays; gratuities policy is in place; licenses include Texas Driver’s License and Food Handler’s Certification; physical demands include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and potential outdoor work; equal employment opportunity statement.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements
- Food Handler’s Certification
- Prior culinary experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and verbal directions accurately
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to support all areas of kitchen operation
