Job Summary
Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products, and prepare/portion food prior to cooking; also assist in plating, garnishing, and completing kitchen duties, with responsibility for quality and adherence to portion sizes, standards, and sanitation. Duties include operating broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, maintaining stocks at line stations, labeling/rotating items, and supporting closing procedures and meetings; requires 2+ years kitchen experience, ability to lift 40 pounds, clear communication, and standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity
- Clear communication with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 9 hours
