Job Summary
Line Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living responsible for preparing meals from scratch per recipes, managing portion control and timely cook times, plating and presentation, maintaining cleanliness, following checklists and procedures, and delivering hospitable service to residents and guests in a fast-paced senior living kitchen. Requires teamwork, reliability, ability to work early morning shifts (6am-2pm), weekends and holidays, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards; emphasizes resident-centered hospitality and collaboration with staff to ensure high-quality dining experiences.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting
- Proven success with basic Culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods
- Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Consistent and reliable attendance
- Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
