Job Summary
Line Cook role for AM shift at Los Poblanos in Albuquerque, NM. Responsible for executing à la minute service for the line, maintaining a dedicated station, and preparing dishes to the Chef’s specifications with precise seasoning and plating. Must ensure mise en place is ready before service, assist with specials and tasting on the station, and work as part of a team to provide a high-quality dining experience. Includes duties such as setting up kitchen space, sanitation tasks, cleaning workstations, labeling and storing mise en place for subsequent shifts, tasting dishes before plating, and consistent communication with the AM Sous Chef. Candidates should have experience in a kitchen environment, strong knife skills, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and readiness to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a kitchen environment
- Farm-to-fork background
- Knowledge of high-level service execution
- Own and maintain appropriate knives
- Organized with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach and walk 8 to 10 hours a day
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
