Job Summary
Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions, including starting ahead, rotating perishables, checking pars for shift use, assisting in keeping buffet stocked, returning unused items, and helping develop plans to correct food cost issues. Operate and clean kitchen equipment (deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill), comply with attendance rules, and perform other duties as assigned. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication, dexterity to use equipment weighing up to 100 lbs, and ability to adapt to kitchen needs. This role is based at Kimpton Fort Lauderdale Beach with HEI Hotels and Resorts and features benefits and opportunities typical of a hospitality line cook position.
