Job Summary
Prepare all food items based on standardized recipes for Corporate HQ outlet Banquets/Catering in meeting rooms and Executive Lounge while maintaining highest standards. Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in kitchen and work areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio. Maintain post on kitchen line during operating hours to prepare food to order, break down buffets and kitchen lines at end of meal periods, and operate kitchen equipment safely. Complete necessary food and station preparations prior to opening and prepare food for Banquets and Associate Cafeteria following specifications. Comply with Food Handlers certification and Aimbridge Hospitality standards for safe, efficient operations. Maintain friendly service-oriented demeanor toward guests and associates while attending required meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and/or accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be able to operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
- Must maintain the "Clean As You Go" policy
- Must be able to know the location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment
- Must practice safe work habits at all times to avoid possible injury to self or other associates
- Must be able to attend meetings as required by management
- Must be able to perform any other duties as requested by management
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
