Job Summary
Line Cook responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to established recipes, production standards, and presentation guidelines. Supports player dining, executive dining, VIP hospitality, corporate events, and daily food service operations by maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency across all hospitality and culinary operations at the Mavericks Performance & Training Center. Duties include preparing and cooking menu items, executing station responsibilities, maintaining mise en place, ensuring proper temperatures and portioning, labeling and storing food, adhering to food safety regulations, and collaborating with culinary leadership to deliver exceptional food experiences for players, executives, VIP guests, and special events. Must maintain clean, organized workstations, assist with deliveries, and contribute to teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-volume sports hospitality environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–3 years of culinary experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering, private club, or hospitality environment.
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to follow recipes and production standards consistently.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
