Job Summary
Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes while setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment. Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items, then safely utilize a variety of utensils and kitchen equipment including knives, ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines while properly storing food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures. Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation, and perform other duties as assigned by management. Work side by side with a passionate culinary team to execute plates with precision, consistency, and pride, upholding high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a current food handlers card or be able to obtain one
- Must have experience, a positive attitude, be punctual, and be a team player
- Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment
- Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state
- Must disclose prescribed and/or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that may impair or affect the ability to perform the job's essential functions
- Required to ascend and descend stairs
- Required to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Required to bend, stoop and kneel
- May be required to work outside in various weather conditions
- Must be able to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of Line Cook experience preferred
- A higher degree in hospitality or a relevant field will be a plus
