Line Continuous Improvement Lead

Job Summary
Lead Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and 5S initiatives while driving Lean/Continuous Improvement tools across the line. Analyze and report data for daily/weekly production meetings, performing in-depth investigations to reduce top losses and improve line performance. Design and maintain data collection processes, train operators on correct recording practices, and coach supervisors and managers on relevant CI topics. Collaborate with LCT members to set daily priorities from the Daily Direction Setting meeting and work with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic projects. Maintain required training documentation and calculate value potential for improvement initiatives. Flex schedule to be onsite during any hours the line is running to support the work of the LCT.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or related field
- prior manufacturing experience
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated capability in the application of Continuous Improvement tools
- Ability to flex schedule, as needed, to be onsite during any hours the line is running
- Capacity to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and data collection skills
- Proficiency in Excel (or other analytics software)
- strong computer skills
- Must be able to stand and work on the production floor for extensive time periods
Desired Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or lead experience
- second language proficiency (Spanish)
