Job Summary
Line Clearance Trimmer performs pruning and removal on utility tree work, climbing using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems, and operating tools including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Works as part of a crew with a foreperson and ground crew to safely prune, trim, and remove trees affecting electric utility lines, identify trees per industry pruning guidelines, and maintain equipment. Position is full-time and outdoors with travel up to 25%, with benefits including health and retirement plans; office is outdoors and includes training and safety responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- valid driver’s license
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
- line clearance experience or other related tree work
- relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Love of the outdoors
