Job Summary
Set up and stock the preparation station, then chop vegetables, cut meat, and prepare sauces as orders come in. Work with the executive chef to cook menu items and support banquet preparations for diverse cuisines. Ensure food storage areas meet health and safety standards while cleaning prep areas and managing leftovers. Stock inventory supplies and follow directions efficiently. Report to the executive chef and maintain poise under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to read menu items
- Ability to Stand 6-8 Hours at a time
- A positive attitude while on the job is also essential
- Must be able to focus on the job while staying on their feet and moving about freely
- Must be able to communicate Member needs to other Team Members
- Must be able to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Desired Qualifications
- A High School diploma is preferred
- Preferred qualifications would include a minimum of 1 year of kitchen experience in a club, hotel, or catering service
- Have the ability to maintain poise under pressure
