Job Summary
Repair and maintain aircraft by dismantling, repairing, assembly, and erection of machinery and mechanical devices. Perform all work in a prompt timely manner while adhering to FAA regulations and company procedures. Exercise Airman Certificate authority to sign corrective actions in maintenance documents for airworthiness release. Act as cockpit coordinator when assigned to ensure safe operation of aircraft systems. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times. Valid Airframe & Powerplant license and strong knowledge of aircraft systems required. Flexible to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues
- Ability to consistently lift 70 lbs
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company procedures
- Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
- Must have a valid unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia
- Flexible to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate in English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 18
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must obtain and maintain good standing in a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority
Desired Qualifications
- 4 or more years of aircraft technician experience
- 2 or more years of college
