Job Summary
Limited X-ray Technologist performs basic radiographic imaging of specific body parts (e.g., extremities, chest, spine) under supervision in outpatient settings. Responsibilities include patient preparation, operating X-ray and digital imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols, maintaining patient records and procedure logs, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and supporting the medical provider in patient examination, testing and education. Requires completing specialized education and passing a state or national licensure/certification exam for limited radiography, CPR certification, and preferred 2+ years of medical office experience. Must be able to communicate effectively, work as part of a healthcare team, and meet physical demands of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Limited radiography license or certification
- CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
- 2+ years of medical office experience strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to promote positive relationships with CAO and other personnel
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and charting in same
- Proficiency in Windows based office technologies (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
