Job Summary
Properly take required patient images using technological equipment and maintain clear, timely communication with clinicians. Assist physicians with procedures in exam rooms, handle office administrative tasks, and provide coverage for Medical Assistants. Ensure accurate, timely completion of assigned tasks while managing prioritized daily responsibilities. Maintain full proficiency in radiological standards and patient care protocols. This full-time role includes Monday through Friday scheduling with a 30-hour work week. Candidates must hold a California AART certification, possess at least one year of X-Ray Technician experience, and be able to float to surrounding locations.
Required Qualifications
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree or higher in a related area
- At least 1-year experience working as an X-Ray Technician in a medical practice or similar environment
- Current California AART certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Knowledge and full understanding of current radiological standards
- Hands on experience assisting Physicians with procedures and tasks in patient exam rooms along with a wide range of tasks related to patient care
- Effective time management and organizational skills including prioritizing daily tasks
- Ability to communicate logically and clearly verbally and in writing, along with good listening communication skills while maintaining professional and courteous interactions with patients, physicians, and coworkers
- Ability to ensure accurate, timely completion of assigned tasks
- Respectfully accepts coaching and guidance provided constructively to ensure continual improvement, career growth, and development
- PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to successfully pass an in-depth background investigation, including clean pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to float to surrounding locations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations
