Job Summary
Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures on selected anatomical sites within a limited scope. Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and assign imaging studies to medical chart numbers. Assist RRTs with patient callbacks, screen questionnaires, and maintain strict record-keeping and radiographic equipment guidelines. Work as a PRN operator with excellent communication skills to elicit patient data and maintain privacy.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet state limited x-ray machine operator requirements for location of practice
- Completion and passing of the Radiology Education Online
- Maintaining certification through CEU's
- 12 credits required every 24 months
- Compliance with current LXMO policy
- Excellent communication skills
- Mental preparedness to work with critically ill patients
- Trustworthiness to maintain patient privacy
- Proficiency at record keeping
