Job Summary
Advise visitors on parking, restroom facilities, points of interest, and general museum information while ensuring safety and adherence to policies for guests entering and exiting the Puelicher Butterfly Vivarium. Assist the Event Coordinator with after-hours events and manage lost and found procedures. Demonstrate excellent customer service and people skills when working with large and small diverse groups. Requires weekend and evening availability, bilingual Spanish strongly preferred, and ability to use technical tools like radios. Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel for 80% of shifts. Located in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Public Museum offers a rewarding position within a non-profit organization dedicated to natural and human history.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have weekend and evening availability
- Experience in a customer service setting, particularly with large groups
- Ability to use technical tools and systems such as radios and paging systems
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as well as stand and walk for 80% of your shift
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
