Job Summary
Conduct initial and follow-up x-rays per provider protocol while managing guest flow, rooming patients, and collecting demographic data and copays. Maintain patient confidentiality by registering guests in PACS, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Operate radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and scheduling repairs. Document care in EMR and PACS, input CPT codes, and obtain prior authorizations for injections. Minimize radiation exposure through strict adherence to DOC protocols and safety techniques.
