Job Summary
Plan and facilitate tutoring sessions to help students understand various subjects, while assessing their learning processes and answering their questions. Assist learners in developing appropriate study skills and review materials used in classes to supplement classroom teaching. Maintain consistent communication with supervisory staff and model academic attitudes and behaviors for students and faculty. Work independently with diverse ethnic backgrounds, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to various situations. Requires a Bachelor's degree, two years of teaching experience, and a valid Arizona teaching certificate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Substitute or Standard Teaching Certificate from Arizona Department of Education
- Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)
- Ability to work with diverse ethnic backgrounds
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
