Job Summary
Support lighting layouts, drawings, and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit while reviewing architectural and construction drawings to integrate design requirements. Assist with fixture selections, schedules, specifications, and presentation materials for architectural, interior, commercial, and public projects. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure work aligns with client needs, project standards, and applicable codes. Maintain accurate project files and support senior designers through design, tender, and construction phases. Overtime as required. Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in lighting design, interior design, architecture, electrical design, or a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, electrical, and construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables
- Ability to communicate and work well with other departments
- Keen interest in lighting design, architectural lighting, and the built environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative lighting design environment
- Team and client-focused
- Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible
- Overtime as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AGi32, Dialux, Visual, or other lighting calculation software is considered an asset
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of lighting products, controls, photometrics, and fixture specifications
- Understanding of lighting design principles, energy codes, and industry best practices
- Experience preparing lighting schedules, specification packages, or design presentations
- Background in interior design or architecture with a strong interest in lighting
