Job Summary
Operate light rail vehicles safely while complying with all rules, regulations, and signals governing day-to-day operations. Monitor on-board conditions to ensure vehicles function as designed, troubleshoot abnormalities as directed, and file completed Defect Reports. Coordinate with local supervision and the OCC for revenue service operations, respond to passenger calls via intercom, and assist with evacuations during emergencies. Maintain certification to operate the vehicle and file unusual occurrence reports for incidents. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years related work experience
- Successfully complete training program
- 21 years or older
- Valid driver's license
- Valid DOT certification
- Any other certificates, licenses and registrations as required by law to perform the specified functions
- Ability to distinguish between colors
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk
- Ability to sit
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to talk
- Ability to hear
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
