Light Equipment Operator

Job Summary
Operate light construction equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, and forklifts safely and efficiently while performing routine maintenance and inspections. Assist with loading and unloading materials at job sites, report equipment malfunctions immediately, and perform manual labor tasks when necessary. Maintain a clean work area and adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols. Work outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and cold, collaborating closely with site supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time. This role supports CoVolt Power's mission to deliver renewable energy infrastructure across North America.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Proven experience operating light construction equipment
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project needs
- Ability to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., OSHA certification)
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry
- Mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs
