Job Summary
Operate light construction equipment such as skid steers, mini-excavators, and forklifts safely and efficiently while performing routine maintenance and inspections. Assist with loading and unloading materials, report equipment malfunctions immediately, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Work closely with site supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time, following all safety guidelines and protocols. This role requires working outdoors in various extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and cold, with potential exposure to loud noises, dust, and debris. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proven experience operating light construction machinery.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Proven experience operating light construction equipment
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing project needs
- Ability to work outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., OSHA certification)
- Experience in a similar role within the construction industry
- Mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs
