Job Summary
Empty and spot clean all waste receptacles, dust horizontal surfaces, and wipe down doors, light switches, and walls to remove fingerprints. Clean kitchen sinks, polish fixtures, and dust ceiling fans, vents, and blinds while maintaining compliance with safety policies and company standards. Transport equipment and supplies, communicate repair needs to supervisors, and treat all co-workers with respect. Perform spot cleaning for office and common areas to ensure a healthy environment for employees and customers. This part-time, second-shift role (5pm–9pm) reports to the supervisor and includes paid training, weekly pay, and access to health insurance and 401K for full-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to traverse work site and transport equipment used for completing job functions
- Ability to position self to reach areas both below waist level to the floor and above their head
- Ability to detect, observe, and inspect work areas to identify potential opportunities and concerns
- Ability to transport up to 20lbs through work site as needed
- Ability to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants
- Must meet minimum age requirements
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role preferred
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures
- Good organization and time-management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Thorough in completing tasks to ensure cleanliness and hygiene
- Reliable and punctual, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Honest and ethical, particularly in handling company property and equipment as well as clocking time accurately
- Willing to adapt to changing tasks and schedules
- Polite and respectful when interacting with employees, clients, and supervisors
- Cooperative and works well with others to achieve common goals
