Job Summary
Develop lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments for all lifting activities while conducting load calculations and selecting appropriate cranes and equipment. Supervise critical and heavy lifting operations on-site, ensuring all procedures comply with company policies and international safety standards. Coordinate with construction, site, HSE, and operations teams to execute lifting activities efficiently, while conducting inspections for lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging gear. Monitor lifting activities, provide technical guidance to riggers and operators, and investigate incidents to recommend corrective actions. Maintain all lifting documentation, permits, and certifications. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 5–7 years of experience in residential and hospitality developments, familiarity with tower and mobile cranes, and strong HSE knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Lifting Engineer within construction projects
- proven exposure to residential and hospitality developments (high-rise buildings, hotels, or mixed-use projects)
- Strong knowledge of lifting engineering principles, crane operations, rigging, and heavy lifting activities
- Experience in preparing lifting plans, method statements, and load calculations
- Good understanding of international lifting and safety standards
- Familiarity with different types of cranes and lifting equipment (tower cranes, mobile cranes, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and safe lifting practices in active construction environments
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple lifting activities simultaneously in fast-paced construction sites
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering-related software

- Professional certifications such as LEEA, Appointed Person, OSHA, IOSH, or NEBOSH
