Job Summary
Move product within warehouse and manufacturing areas operating sit down and stand up forklifts, pole, pallet jacks, and radio frequency equipment. Perform daily lift truck and dock door inspections, promptly report safety malfunctions, and assist in maintaining clean work areas. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations to ensure a safe environment while working flexible hours including overtime and shift coverage. Requires one year of lift truck experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year lift truck experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Must follow dress code
- Must wear assigned PPE
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work in a close team environment
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions
- Ability to read and understand production orders, shipping documents and safety guidelines
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Peripheral vision
- Ability with spatial relationships
- Must be available for flexible working hours
- Must be available for overtime
- Must be available to cover shifts during vacation
- Must be available to cover call-offs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience on pole hysters
- Experience on stand/sit reach trucks
- Experience on forklifts
- Prior use of handheld RF scanners while operating a lift truck
