Job Summary
Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment to safely load, unload, transport, and stage raw materials and finished goods. Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections, verify shipping documentation, and maintain accurate inventory records while supporting first-in, first-out practices. Collaborate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and on-time customer deliveries, and assist in training new team members on safe material handling procedures. Work a 12-hour rotating day/night schedule in our Jacksonville, IL manufacturing plant.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain required forklift operator qualification
- Knowledge of safe material handling and warehouse operations
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs require
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required for material handling and inventory activities
- High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the position
