Job Summary

Controls and maintains electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate wastewater flow into the treatment plant system. Performs daily maintenance at all lift stations, repairs and lubricates equipment, and operates a motor vehicle with a Texas Class "C" license. Manages problems in standardized situations while reading and writing correspondence and daily/weekly reports. Requires a 'Collections II' license within two years of employment. Rotating on-call schedule with frequent standing, walking, and lifting to 50 lbs. Safety-sensitive role subject to random drug and alcohol screening. Emergency response required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Texas Class "C" Driver's License
  • Must currently have or be able to obtain a 'Collections II' license within 2 years of employment
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to climb to heights and maintain balance.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
  • Must be able to use digits, hands, and extremities to feel, handle, and manipulate objects
  • Must be able to reach and overhead reach
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, push, and pull
  • Must be able to crouch and kneel
  • Must be able to stand and walk
  • Must be able to sit
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others can understand
  • Must be able to share accurate information face-to-face, over the telephone and radio
  • Must be able to crawl
  • Must be able to respond in an emergency
