Job Summary
Ensure the proper and safe operation of all passenger ropeways and conveyors while overseeing a designated area as directed by Lift Operations Managers or Supervisors. Conduct quality control checks of the maze area, load/unload ramps, signage, and safe loading/unloading of guests. Present yourself with exemplary grooming, hygiene, and a clean uniform daily, ensuring staff in your zone meet company dress and readiness standards before leaving the staff room. Give clear direction to staff and follow up when necessary to maintain operational excellence. This role supports daily winter lift operations at Sun Peaks Resort, Canada's second-largest ski area, providing guests with access to world-renowned snow.
Required Qualifications
- at least one year of experience running chair lifts
- Minimum of one previous season as a Lift Operator at Sun Peaks Resort or other resort
- Valid BC class 5 driver's license with clean abstract
- This job position requires physical presence at the designated location
- work activities involve handling loads up to 20 kg
- predominantly in an outdoor setting (possible extreme cold)
