Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on ski lift equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Diagnose mechanical issues with ski lifts and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards while conducting maintenance and repairs on ski lift machinery. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for regulatory compliance and historical reference. Work closely with other lift mechanics, ski patrol, and resort management to coordinate maintenance schedules and address operational needs. Respond promptly to any lift-related emergencies or malfunctions, following established protocols to ensure the safety of guests and staff. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and stay current with industry best practices and advancements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications for lift maintenance and operation
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed
- Ability to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
