Job Summary
Produce the daily South Florida Live program by coordinating elements, writing copy for segments, and creating graphics in the control room. Research lifestyle and community news stories using diverse sources, develop segment ideas, and assist with guest bookings and pre-interviews. Support production of assets across all platforms and channels while helping to deliver the show's message through creative use of clips and visuals. Collaborate with the team to support production of other lifestyle and community programming.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism; or an equivalent degree
- At least 2 years of television production experience
- Experience with independently developing own story ideas, conducting research, and planning show segments
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including possible weekends
- Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice, if needed
- Must be willing to work long hours, varying shifts (including nights and weekends) and report to work in emergencies depending upon news coverage when necessary
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be willing to work in Miami, FL and travel as needed for special assignments
- Must have a valid driver's license
