Job Summary
Develop, lead and maintain activities programs for Assisted Living Residents and Reflections Program Residents. Lead programs within both Assisted Living and Reflections neighborhoods on a routine basis in accordance with organizational standards, maintain a daily presence in both neighborhoods and familiarity with all residents. Plan and coordinate outings of any conceivable type, including art galleries, theatre, music, and cultural programs. Write and edit a monthly newsletter to share with residents, referral sources, and staff. Coordinate transportation for special trips. Interview new Residents and provide orientation. Manage the Programming Department staff, including hiring, coaching and evaluations. Create monthly schedules, recruit volunteers, and coordinate with marketing/RSAs for publicity. Maintain knowledge of Residents’ backgrounds and ensure service plans reflect interests. Coordinate resident monies for activities and assist with program budgets. Plan and implement programs to foster resident friendships, leadership opportunities, and community involvement. Perform Safety Observation reports and facilitate new hire orientation and in-services related to programming. Additional duties as assigned by leadership.
