Job Summary

Create and execute a comprehensive community event and programming calendar while managing an annual budget for activity income and expenses. Collaborate with the Communications Associate to develop website content, newsletters, and social media materials. Establish partnerships with local organizations, oversee the amenity center rentals, and develop general policies and procedures. Coordinate community clubs, groups, and committees to facilitate connections through events and communications. This role requires onsite full-time hours Monday through Friday, with flexibility for additional hours on nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be comfortable with public speaking and possess 3-4 years of event planning experience alongside 2 years in communications management.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and engagement
  • Candidates should have 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience
  • 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, driving record, and background check
  • Must hold a valid state driver's license for the class of vehicle you are driving
  • Must maintain a clean motor vehicle report
  • Must hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits
  • Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events
  • Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices
  • Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions
  • Must be able to work onsite at the community
  • Must work full-time hours Monday - Friday
  • Must be able to work additional hours on some nights, weekends and holidays for events
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must be able to work effectively with a resident board and committee members, as well as volunteers

Desired Qualifications

  • A Bachelors Degree or higher, ideally in recreation, communications, journalism or community development from an accredited college or university
