Job Summary
Create and execute a comprehensive community event and programming calendar, working with residents and partners to facilitate connections through programming and communications. Produce and maintain an annual budget for activity income and expenses while overseeing the operation of the amenity center, including rentals. Establish partnerships with local organizations and develop policies for community clubs and committees. Collaborate with the Communications Associate on website content, newsletters, and social media materials. Manage public speaking engagements and maintain professional relationships with the Board of Directors. Work onsite full-time Monday through Friday, with availability for additional hours on nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be comfortable with public speaking and engagement
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, driving record, and background check
- If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver's license for the class of vehicle you are driving
- Maintain a clean motor vehicle report
- Hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits
- Must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing
- Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions
- Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds
- Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events
- Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices
- Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions
- Must be able to work onsite at the community
- Must be able to work full-time hours Monday - Friday
- Must be able to work additional hours on some nights, weekends and holidays for events
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to work effectively with a resident board and committee members, as well as volunteers
- Must have 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience
- Must have 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelors Degree or higher, ideally in recreation, communications, journalism or community development from an accredited college or university
