Job Summary
Provide care, transport, and treatment for ill or injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations across multiple bases. Relay and receive patient information while complying with regulatory requirements, departmental policies, and state-defined paramedic scope of practice. Manage neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients; drive ambulance to referral hospitals; transport patients; obtain consents and authorizations; record ambulance run times; and process billing and daily reports. This full-time float role includes nights (7p-7a) with additional float pay and shift differentials. Valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- EMT-P Indiana Paramedic license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC)
- NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800
- Valid driver's license
- Motor Vehicle Record report
- Ability to make independent, clinical and operational competent decisions in a challenging environment
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year ALS Paramedic experience
