Lifeline Emergency Medical Tech - EMT - Transport Tech provides out-of-hospital patient transport by ambulance under Maryland EMS protocols, stabilizing and assisting in medical care, and operating specialized transport equipment. Requires EMT-Basic certification (National Registry), Maryland EMT-Basic by hire (or within 90 days), BLS experience, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and related EMS experience; full-time role on rotating shifts in Baltimore, MD.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)- Basic Program
- Be in possession of a current National Registry Emergency Medical Technician- Basic certification
- Current Maryland EMT - Basic certification required upon hire -or- obtained within the first 90 days of employment
- District of Columbia EMT - Basic certification required upon hire -or- obtained within the first 120 days of employment
- Pennsylvania EMT certification required upon hire -or- within the first 120 days of employment
- Valid CPR certification required upon hire
- Unrestricted valid driver’s license
- Minimum one year’s experience as a full-time BLS provider within last two years
- Knowledge of setting up and management of specialized patient care equipment used during medical transport
