Lifeguard

Lifeguard position at Winston Lake Family YMCA in Winston Salem, NC. Responsibilities include active surveillance of the pool, enforcing safety rules per YMCA policies, and delivering customer service by welcoming members and explaining rules. Build positive relationships with members and staff, complete required safety reports, maintain records and equipment, perform pool chemical testing when not guarding, attend staff meetings and trainings, and adhere to health and safety guidelines. Must hold lifeguard certifications (CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen), current YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent, be able to cross over to YUSA Guard within 90 days, and meet physical and mental readiness requirements. Age requirements: 16+ for part-time, 18+ for full-time.
