Lifeguard Various Locations

Guard the pool or waterfront, maintaining appropriate zone coverage and adequate scanning while enforcing facility rules to prevent aquatic emergencies. Effectively participate in regular training and in-service sessions, demonstrating proper knowledge and mastery of lifeguard skills. Conduct or assist in swim testing procedures, perform rescues, and work as part of the rescue team in case of aquatic emergencies. Initiate and follow emergency procedures as outlined in the facility Emergency Action Plan (EAP), perform first aid, and fill out appropriate paperwork. Place and remove lane lines or swim area demarcations, conduct and properly document pool readings, and clean and organize the pool deck and equipment. Greet patrons, answer questions, and operate point-of-sale and check-in software when appropriate.
