Job Summary
Maintain a safe recreational and therapeutic environment for residents in the outdoor pool by providing lifeguard services from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Assist residents with entering and exiting the pool, and support daily activities in the recreation department when the pool is closed or weather conditions prevent use. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents through vigilant monitoring and a kind, patient spirit while interacting directly with those who call The Bristal home. This seasonal, part-time role requires an unexpired New York state lifeguard license and a cheerful, dependable attitude.
Required Qualifications
- Must have an unexpired license to lifeguard in the state of New York
- Be a personable, outgoing, caring, cheerful and fun individual
- Ability to create positive interactions with the residents
- Dependable, reliable and flexible to help out in other areas as needed
